Terrible Company

Revelation 20:14-15

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Three classes are said to be cast into the Lake of Fire:

Death

The Bible says that anyone who is not saved is dead in trespasses and sins. Through salvation we are quickened and made alive. Those who are alive without the Lord live but are dead.

Hell

Hell is not the final destination of the lost. Hell as it now exists will be annihilated at the Great White Throne.

Whosoever was not found written in the book of life

Death and hell means everyone whose name is not found written in the book of life. This phrase though gives opportunity to the reader.

·       No one has to go to the Lake of Fire

·       No one has to remain dead in trespasses and sin

·       No one has to be kept in hell awaiting judgment

We can get our names written in the book of life. We may be saved from hell. We can call upon the name of the Lord and be made alive.

This is some terrible company. It's no crowd I want to hang with. I asked Christ to forgive me and save me. Have you?
