2 Corinthians 7:2 KJV
Receive
us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.
Paul delivers to us three
reasons he ought to be received by the Corinthians:
He had
wronged no one
Paul's handling even of
the terrible conditions existing in the church there was of such a nature that
no one has been in any way harmed. Sin had been corrected, justice had been
administered and it had been done for the good of even those who had done
wrong.
He had
corrupted no one
His doctrine and practice
had rather led to the perfecting of their faith rather than the corrupting of
it.
He has
defrauded no one
Paul had not used his
position for personal gain but rather for the benefit of the believers. He had
personally sacrificed for their good
When one has a record
such as that he has a right to ask to be received.
