1 Corinthians 15:12 (KJV)
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
The question at hand is not whether Christ rose from the dead but whether it is preached that He did. (Though we know that He did rise from the dead.)
Mark the power and authority of preaching. It’s not the preaching of error that has authority but the preaching of truth. Still, if truth is preached it is powerful.
Truth left silent is of little use. But truth, especially gospel truth, preached
- Boldly,
- Consistently and
- With spiritual zeal
saves lives and changes men.
Paul is incredulous. This is the truth. They have heard it preached. How could some of them deny it?
When the preacher opens the Bible and clearly preaches it, how dare anyone deny the truth!
