Numbers 19:20 (KJV)
But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.

Notice the issue of choice, free will.

• God provided a means to be clean. 
• God detailed the steps to access this purity and 
• God urged them to be clean. 

But there is always someone who chooses to do otherwise. He is not forced to be clean. He is not required to be purified. He has a right of free will.

But there is a consequence. He is separated out.

What so many rebel against is the consequence.

• They want to avoid work and get a paycheck too
• They want to abuse their bodies and be healthy too
• They want to be civilly disobedient and be protected by the government too
• They want to sin against God and be accepted by God too

God gives us free will but we must bear the consequences of exercising it.
