Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
It is remarkable that, in the midst of all this sin, in the midst of all this that should not be named among the members of God’s churches, there is this one good thing, this one thing we ought to be known for, the giving of thanks.

The thanks giving of the Bible is unique because:
- It is focused on God
- It is not moved by circumstances and
- It is constant among varying believers
Therefore:
- Our circumstances don’t move us either to or from thanksgiving and
- It is the same for believers of all walks because God is the same.
