Numbers 31:1-2 (KJV) Finish On Top

Numbers 31:1-2 (KJV)
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.
Though Moses was not permitted to enter the Promised Land, he was permitted to end his tenor with a victory. He could have been the one to lead Israel into the Land. He came short of that. But he did not come short of victory.
There is no Christian so far backslidden and so out of God’s will that they cannot be victorious for Christ. There are certain sins that restrict the Christian walk.
  • Some things, for instance, are of such a nature that it is impossible to be around children.
  • Some things that might keep a Christian behind bars the rest of their natural lives. There are
  • Some things that disqualify a man from being a pastor or a deacon.
These are as real as God’s insistence that Moses would not go into the Promised Land. (Notice that Moses never contended that.) But never did this mean that Moses, or any believer for that matter, must go out a loser.
Every Christian, regardless of past, can:
  • Repent
  • Obey the Lord and
  • Finish his race on top
