Philippians 4:1 (KJV) The Motivation of the Believer

Philippians 4:1 (KJV)
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
The word, “therefore” always draws us back to a previous doctrine. In this verse that doctrine supports the reason we ought to stand fast in the Lord.
Philippians 3:20-21
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
Here is the truth that is meant to be the motivation for all Christian behavior, our heavenly promises. Frankly if a person is not willing to live for them he has no rightful claim to faith at all.
Stand fast in the Lord today because of His promises for you then.
