Judges 13:1-3 (KJV) A Means of Grace

Judges 13:1-3 (KJV)
And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years. And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
Even as God delivered Israel to the Philistines He was preparing the one who would avenge them.
Judgment at the hand of God is consistently found in the Word of God, but never without at avenue of grace. God used every enemy of Israel. God explicitly sent many of them. But in every case God was quick to answer His people’s cry for help. In the end we learn that He had already prepared the answer before they ever asked.
God is the same yesterday today and forever. The same God who raised up Samson, at the very moment He delivered Israel to Philistia, has raised up a means of grace for us in the midst of our darkest judgment.
