Job 38:8 (KJV) A Breath of Fresh Air

Job 38:8 (KJV)
Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
When the Lord speaks the book of Job changes. Previous we have the discourses of Job’s friends and we struggle because they seem so correct but we know them to be so wrong, at least in the spirit of their words. Then we have the answers of Job that so frequently seem off but we know that he did not sin with his words.
But now we hear from the Lord. We take assurance in every word.
  • He laid the foundations of the earth
  • He shut up the sea and decreed its place
  • He causes it to rain where no man is
  • He hunts for the lion and provides for the raven
The smallness of man and the greatness of God are clearly seen.
The fresh breath I take this morning is that of the knowledge I do not have to second-guess any of this. It is as true as God is.

To my readers:
