Psalms 100:4-5 (KJV)
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Here are three simple and immutable reasons to come into the house of God with thanksgiving and praise:
The Lord is good
Strong’s Concordance defines this as good, “in the widest sense.” God is Good in every way imaginable.

His mercy is everlasting
Everlasting comes from a word means to conceal or the vanishing point. It is reminiscent of infinity. It means His mercy extends beyond our vision. It continues until it simply fades out of view.

His truth endureth to all generations
The word “endureth” has been added by the translators. They italicized it so we would know they had done so. Kudos to them for their transparency and integrity. Still, it is obvious it belongs here and simply means, “as far, as long and as much as.”

God’s truth endures as far as all generations. As long as there is another generation God’s truth is still true. It needs no adjustment, no tweaking, no refinement to relate to another generation. What was true of the first generation to hear God’s truth is true of the last generation that will hear it.
Notice that praise and thanksgiving is all on account of God. If we have our eyes on Him we can always be thankful.
