Hebrews 7:19 (KJV) God Isn’t Interested in “Good Enough”

Hebrews 7:19 (KJV)
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Our perfection is certainly a Biblical objective. God isn’t interested in “good enough.” Even “very good” isn’t where God stops. By the time He finishes with this world, and with us, the result will be – perfect.
Notice, perfection is not made through the law.
I see what I believe to be a three-step progression into perfection:
We embrace a “better hope”
It is a hope based in the promises of God rather than the deeds of self.
By the which we draw nigh to God
And God draws nigh to us.
The result of which is perfection
It is implied but I am sure it is here.
Perfection is the result of God working upon us as we draw near to Him through hope in His promises by Christ.
