Revelation 16:13-14 (KJV)
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

The King James Version of the Bible is not difficult to understand, so long as the reader has the Spirit of God dwelling within. Neither are the prophecies of Revelation all that troublesome to grasp. The Revelation need not be hyper-spiritualized. It simply requires a normal historical/grammatical interpretation and some study.[1]
We have here a passage often abused. Notice three unclean spirits like frogs. They are unclean spirits. They are not frogs. They are like frogs. It’s not that difficult for my imagination to fill in some blanks how they might be like frogs:
- Slimy
- Cold
- Ugly
An imagination is vital in picturing the messages and images given us in the Word of God. But we need not depend upon imagination alone.[2]We may discover truths within the very Word of God.
In this case, one of the plagues against Egypt was frogs.[3]
- The frogs were a judgment
- The frogs overwhelmed their homes
- The frogs spoiled their goods
- The dead frogs stank
Psalms 78:45 says, He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.
The word destroyed means corrupted. So these unclean spirits corrupt everything they touch – and they touch everything.
[1]2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
