Ezekiel 32:18 (KJV) Them That Go to the Pit

Ezekiel 32:18 (KJV)
Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

While the chapter is properly a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, verses 17-30 separate the agony of “the multitude of Egypt” agony as one of those things Pharaoh would suffer. The burden of leadership is often that your own suffering comes at the expense of those under you. 

The description of their lamentation is like this:

• They were strong, mighty, beautiful on earth but
• They die uncircumcised and
• They join the others in hell

There is a distinction made repeatedly between them and those that go down to the pit. It seems to me that the later are the fallen angels. Hell was created for them. Revelation tells us they are condemned to the bottomless pit. The term uncircumcised is, in the Old Testament, a reference to the Jews but the New Testament likens it to salvation; the circumcision of the heart. 

God, who is no respecter of persons, pronounces the judgment of the beautiful, the powerful, the famous and the mighty all to the same eternal fate as the devil and those angels that followed him. 

No matter who we are or what we might have accomplished in this life, if we have not been born again we will join the rest of the “uncircumcised” with “them that go down to the pit.”
