Luke 22:24-27 (KJV)
And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.

Successful Christian men often speak of how the world unwittingly uses Bible principles for successful business. In this way those same successful Christians justify their worldly practices. 

Truth is, Jesus said Christians ought not be and do as the successful of the world do. Truth is, if we followed Jesus’ teaching, we would pretty surely not look successful in this world. 

• We would be as the younger, the helpers. 
• We would not see ourselves as having anything to teach but so much to learn. 

If we followed Jesus teaching: 

• We would be the servants 
• We would let others sit at meat and 
• We would graciously serve them

Those who will have the greatest positions in the kingdom are those who long suffered temptations in this life. They will be the meek, the lowly, the contrite and the humble.
