Exodus 11:1 (KJV) One Plague More

Exodus 11:1 (KJV)
And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
I am interested in the phrase “one plague more.”
One commentary says, “one, and only one.” more plague.
One more, but one unlike all the others.
  • More grievous
  • More dangerous
  • More divisive
  • More effective
This one does the job. Pharaoh not only allows Israel to leave but drives them out.
Why is it that the hardened heart refuses to be right with God until it’s taken the best we have and the best we are? Why won’t we yield to God when we first come under conviction? Why do we have to lose our health, our wealth and our children before we finally come to believe Him?
To my readers:
First of all, thank you! It is a great joy to me to know you read the thoughts and lessons God has given me in His word. Secondly, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to leave comments.
