Numbers 15:15-16 (KJV)

One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

Our country, our world, is so mixed up today. Such confusion would be cleared up if only people would read the Bible, accept it as profitable, and practice its principles. 

God told Israel that they were to have one ordinance and one manner for both the Jews and the strangers that inhabited with them. They were to receive people from other countries but only on the condition that those who entered agreed to live by the laws and practice the culture of the Jews. It does not appear to me that they all had to convert to Judaism, but they were all to practice the culture and mannerisms of the Jews. 

The United States needs to see this. Those outside of our country, and especially those wishing to come into our country need to see this. We are a welcoming nation of people. We accept others of all nations, creeds, and religions. But when you come here, we expect that you will come legally, obey our laws and practice American culture. 

Why America? It’s because this is the country so many want to enter. No one is busting down the borders of African countries or the third world countries. Very few are clamoring to get into the communist countries. Every nation has a right to expect that those who enter her will obey her laws and adapt to her culture, but it is predominantly the United States where they want to come. 

• They want our security 
• They want our freedom of worship
• They want a piece of our wealth

And they are welcome to it. 

Just come legally, obey our laws, and practice our culture.
