Acts 1:14 Prayer and Supplication

Acts 1:14 (KJV)
These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

By “These all,” the Scripture means the Apostles. They continued: 

• stayed with 
• supported and
• fellowshipped with

I do not know that it means they abode in the same house as that appears to be difficult to have done in the upper room. It does mean that they kept up what they began in the upper room. It also means that kept in unity. These people of such diverse backgrounds, men, women and even the blood kin of Christ chose to continue together. 

In prayer
This word means, worship. It can even refer to a place of worship. They stayed together in worship of God. They made the place where they were a place of worship. 

In supplication 
This word means asking, begging, but also seeking. I imagine that the thing they asked for was the promise Christ made to them in verse eight and the promise of the angels in verse eleven. 

Our best praying will be that which we do in response to the Word of God.
