2 Chronicles 20:12 (KJV) Jehoshaphat’s Prayer

2 Chronicles 20:12 (KJV)
O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
When faced with a great enemy Jehoshaphat’s prayer was;
Wilt thou not judge them
“God please, do what needs to be done with them. We do not have the resources, the wherewithal to do it.” Whether the enemy is a large one, better armed or a smaller one, schooled in deception, we never have the resources God has.
Neither know we what to do
Even if we had the resources, we are fallible and fail of the wisdom of God. We might do more damage that is necessary. We might hurt our own in our efforts to defend our own. We could never know what to do as well as God.
Our eyes are upon thee
We look to the Lord.
  • We look to Him in faith, trusting He will do the right.
  • We look to Him in prayer, calling out to Him our petitions and
  • We look to Him through His Word, seeking His direction through His infallible instructions.
