1 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV) A Very Small Thing

1 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV)
But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
Here’s a thought, given that we know we are judged of the Lord, what concern is it that others judge us?
Rather than getting offended because someone is judging us wouldn’t it be wiser to recall that the Lord is judging?
So what, that someone:
  • Has an opinion about us,
  • Says something critical of us,
  • Thinks unkindly of us
In light of the bigger picture, we would be better served living in view of that day we stand at the judgment seat of Christ. These petty criticisms of people fade into nothingness in the light of Jesus.
There is no reason to be overcome with guilt in view of the judgment seat of Christ
I am not saying we should live in guiltless licentiousness. What I am saying is that, as we seek to walk with the Lord, be thankful He has already dealt with our sin.
To my readers:
