Job 23:10 (KJV) Confidence and Hope

Job 23:10 (KJV)
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
This chapter, though spoken in the depths of despair, is filled with hope. Note that, though a believer can undergo times of indescribable pain, such as cannot be ignored, still, if he will, he can find the reason for hope.
Job’s situation was tough. He longed for the opportunity to go to God if he could. He knew in God’s presence:
  • He would know why all this had come upon him
  • He would be strengthened rather than reproved by the Lord
  • He would be delivered from the judge
He could not then know where to have this meeting with God, but he did know, “He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me I shall come forth as gold.”
