Proverbs 19:11 (KJV) Social Skills

Proverbs 19:11 (KJV)
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

This is one of the most important lessons in social skills we have.

Defer your anger
There is almost never a good reason to be angry. Anger almost never has a good outcome. Some great men were noted for having a terrible temper, George Washington for instance. But he was also noted for keeping it contained. That was one of his most respected qualities.

Pass over a transgression
Don’t dwell on it. If someone transgresses, sins in a way that impacts, involves, and hurts you, one of the most honorable things you can do is forgive it, forget it, and move on.
