Proverbs 22:17-18 (KJV) Keep Wisdom

Proverbs 22:17-18 (KJV)

Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.

For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips.

I take it then that the words of the wise and knowledge must be “kept”. To have once heard them, to even have once had them, does not mean that one has kept them.

Wisdom and knowledge are kept through:

·       Repeated exposure

·       Constant meditation and

·       Practical use of

If you have heard the words of the wise, you will best keep them if you often speak them.

In earlier days, when I practiced martial arts, we were taught:

·       Skip a day and your body will know I

·       Skip three days and your practice will know it

·       Skip two weeks and your students will know it

The word of the wise and knowledge are of so much greater importance. Don’t go a day without some exposure to and practice of it.
