Luke 22:3 (KJV) Of The Number

Luke 22:3 (KJV)

Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.

Satan entered into Judas Iscariot. …“of the number of the twelve.”

Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve.
One of the closest members of a class of men to know the Lord.

Judas Iscariot, being of the twelve,
saw Jesus more than almost anyone else could have.

Judas Iscariot, being of the twelve,
watched more of Jesus’s miracles than almost anyone else could have.

Judas Iscariot, being of the twelve,
heard Jesus teach more than almost anyone else could have.

Judas Iscariot had been hand-picked
after a night of prayer, especially by the Lord. Yet Satan entered into him.

We had better not assume just because we’ve been added to some number among the believers, that we couldn’t be influenced by Satan to do a terrible thing to the cause of Christ.
