And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
While Israel was in Egypt, a picture of the world, the Bible says that:
- They were fruitful
- They were multiplied
- They were mighty
They were also afflicted and, though certainly able, did not retaliate. Instead, they continued to grow and began to cry out to God.
The Egyptians were grieved because of them.
It seems to me that this is the formula for believers to follow right now.
- We ought to be fruitful in the sense that we win souls
- We ought to grow mighty in the sense that we learn to observe all things Jesús commanded
This formula will certainly grieve the world around us and, though we might believe we have the upper hand, rather than taking action, we ought to pray and cry out to God.
Until He sends to us a Deliverer, Jesus.
