And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
One of the greatest blessings a man can have in life is the sense of safety and well-being. To lie down to sleep and have no fear. To live in a situation where the enemy is at bay, not that there are no enemies but that they are of no consequence. This is a genuine blessing. And it is a blessing from the Lord.
We see this sense of rest and peace slipping away in our current situation. Disobedience to the truths of God’s Word have left us with leadership bereft of sound judgment. Our borders have been opened, our coffers have been raided, our forces have been weakened.
What our country needs today is a fresh infusion of,
Leviticus 26:40 (KJV)
If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;
God promises with confession to remember His covenants.[1]
God, please open the eyes of our people that they may confess to you and that You might remember Your covenants.
[1] Leviticus 26:42 (KJV)
Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
Leviticus 26:45 (KJV)
But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
