Just the day before the situation in the city was unbearable, intolerable.
- Starvation was the norm
- Goodness of people was at an all time low

No one could have guessed such a turn around would happen. No one believed that in just one night, circumstances would reverse so dramatically.
This world has always experienced seasons of famine and of plenty. That one cannot see how the situation can change is no indication of whether it will change and when. Today appears to be a period of such wickedness, violence, unreasonableness, and godlessness that it appears to us to be irreversible. This is not the case.
