Romans 1:10 (KJV) Reaching Out

Romans 1:10 (KJV)

Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

The ministry of the Apostle was itinerant. He did not stay in one place. He moved from city to city, establishing churches, preaching for salvation, and confirming leaders.

Interestingly, he prayed to God but made his request clear to the believers – I am confident it was to a church – in Rome that he wanted to come to them.

  • He wanted to see them
  • He wanted to preach to them
  • He wanted fruit among them and
  • He wanted to be blessed by them

It would be unbecoming of every pastor to do this. But it is appropriate for those who are burdened for regions beyond their own to:

  • Pray for those regions
  • Ask God for opportunities to preach to them and
  • To let those in those regions know it.

To my readers:
