In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
The Bible says that the Bible says that, no matter how many signs, miracles, or spiritual gifts a Christian might practice, “for all that,” they will not hear and believe the truth of God.
The point of the chapter is clear.
What we ought to pray for, work toward, and excel in is to “utter by the tongue words easy to be understood.”[1]
We need not impress anyone with our supernatural abilities. We don’t even need to impress them with our learning and skill in the Christian faith.
All we need to do is present the message of the Bible in the clearest and most straightforward of terms.
Trust the Lord to do the rest.
