But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
There is so much in Hebrews chapter one concerning Jesus: “the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person.”
He is far superior to the angels—not in the sense of being created, but in the sense of rank and order. The angels are commanded to worship the incarnate Christ just as they would the pre-incarnate second Person of the Godhead.
In our passage today, God the Father declares of Christ that:
· He is the Son,
· He is God,
· He is Eternal,
· He is King, and
· He is Righteous.
What is man that any of us would question Him, whom even the angels worship and serve?
