Revelation 2:19 (KJV) “I Know Thy Works”

Revelation 2:19 (KJV)

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Ever heard someone say, a bit sarcastically, 

“I know, I know”?
-“I’ve heard all this before.”
-“You don’t have to tell me again.”

To each of the seven churches, Jesus writes, “I know.”

• “I know thy works and thy labour...”
• “I know thy works and tribulation...”
• “I know thy works and where thou dwellest...”
• “I know thy works and charity...”
• “I know thy works, that thou hast a name...”
• “I know thy works, behold...”
• “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot...”

He’s writing to churches. And churches are composed of members. I just want to remind us all—Jesus knows.

• He knows if we are members.
• He knows where we are members.
• He knows what sort of member we are.

“I Know Thy Works” — Christ’s Message to Every Church

Jesus told each of the seven churches in Revelation, “I know thy works.” He still knows today—your faith, your service, your patience, and your heart. The question is, are your works pleasing to Him?
