Sufficient unto the day

Matthew 6:34 KJV
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

The Greek word for thought can also be translated, anxiety or care. It helps to think of it that way. The Lord is not telling us to make no plans. The Lord is telling us not to worry about those plans. What works out will work out for the glory of the Lord.

The best way probably to make tomorrow a better day is to concentrate on making today all the day it ought to be.
Today is the day of salvation. If a person has not trusted Christ, don't hesitate on this one. Besides that
Today is the day to read your Bible
Today is the day to pray
Today is the day to tell someone else about the Lord Jesus Christ
And
Today is the day to get up and go to work.
If we would do these things today, instead of waiting until tomorrow, we would not need to give so much thought for tomorrow.
