Matthew 20:7 KJV
They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
Those who were hired in the third, sixth, ninth and eleventh hours did not agree to a wage but trusted the householder. Only those hired the first thing in the morning had agreed with the householder concerning their wages. And only those who had agreed ahead of time were disgruntled about what they received.
We can trust our LORD to do for us "whatsoever is right" and when we do, that is when we find out that He is gracious above all imagination.
Those who agreed to their wages remind me of those that do their good deeds to be seen of men and the Bible says they already have their rewards. Those who lose themselves for the cause of Christ never know on this planet what will be their reward. But I am confident that when we get to heaven we will find out that He gives us "whatsoever is right."
