Hebrews 8:12 KJV
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
What a wonderful reminder that God not only does not remember our sins and iniquities in the past or expect that we will be perfectly free of sin today. God said He would be merciful to their unrighteousness. Through the Lord Jesus Christ God demonstrates mercy even though He knows we still are unrighteous in the flesh.
We will not be free of sin in our bodies until the day we reach eternity. Until then we have a faithful High Priest and Advocate who brings His own righteousness before the Father when we sin.
