2 Chronicles 17:6 KJV
And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.
What a wonderful description of the result of seeking the Lord. Jehoshaphat's heart, the Bible says, "was lifted up in the ways of the Lord." The term lifted up means to mount up and soar. It is expressive of great exaltation and joy. Jehoshaphat was jubilant in heart and soul as he "sought to the Lord God of his father" and as he "walked in his commandments."
John Gill said, "...It [his heart] was engaged in them, was bent and set upon them; he walked in them with great pleasure and cheerfulness, being inspired with zeal and courage..."
O that our hearts would be thus lifted up and not in self-pride and haughtiness. O that our hearts would be filled with the joy of the Lord as we sought to the Lord and as we lived in His ways.
