Hebrews 6:10 KJV
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
It has occurred to me that this chapter has to do, not with losing one's salvation, for that can never happen, but of the doctrine of perseverance. The truly born again will demonstrate that new birth by the fact that they do not "put Him to an open shame." God's children
"drink in the rain"
"bring forth herbs" and
"receiveth blessing from God"
False professors, however, bear thorns and briers and are, in the end, rejected and burned.
Then the writer says, "....beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation..."
Of those who are saved the Bible says, "...God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name..."
What a blessing it is to know that God has never forgotten.
