1 Timothy 6:15 KJV
Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
The grammar of the passage probably demands that the text be interpreted, "in His times He shall show (appear - and He is) the blessed..."
But as I read for my visit with the Lord, I saw it in another light.
Timothy was given a charge. He is to keep that charge though it is a fight to do so, and he is to keep at it until God, in His time shall show who the blessed and only Potentate is. Though this world mocks, and being a preacher of the Word can be a battle, there is still coming that day when God will show the world the truth.
We are Christians by faith. Our eyes cannot see what our spirits know to be true. That is perhaps the most challenging thing about our life. If we had tangible proof of our faith we would have no faith. But God will show the world that this faith is true. We will be vindicated though that vindication is not our first desire.
Fight the good fight of Faith. It will be worth it.
