Expectation

Hebrews 10:22 KJV
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

The chapter begins with the people of the law still possessing the conscience of sin. But that was the law. The believer today possesses not the shadow but the very image, Jesus.
• We have a once for all offering.
• We have been sanctified.
• We have been made perfect.
• We may therefore draw nigh with full assurance and a pure heart and a clear conscience before the Lord.

But we still are aware of the sin of the flesh. What about that? Jesus sat down at the right hand of the God, from henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.

We do the same. We come to God and wait in expectation for that day.
