Isaiah 65:18 KJV
But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
There is a truth in this that Christians may rejoice in all of God's creation. The,
• Mountains and rivers
• Lakes and oceans
• Vast deserts and great plains
• Ice packed polar caps and tropical forests
are all glorious to behold, and that, not to mention the animal life that God has created.
But God is specifically speaking here of the creation of His people who will bring into the world our Saviour Jesus Christ. Man has, many times over, taken the rejoicing in God's creation to an idolatrous extreme. We have worshiped the creature rather than the creator.
God calls us to rejoice in His creation that produces the means of salvation.
