Isaiah 64:4 KJV
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived
by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath
prepared for him that waiteth for him.
I suspect that what Isaiah means
here has still yet to be seen; though the incarnation of Christ was certainly a
fair earnest of it. The love of God demonstrated in giving His Son to dwell
among us and to suffer His death in our stead is a thing marvelous in our eyes.
But it is not the end of what God has prepared for those that wait for Him.
Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you."
What a wonder must all that is
eternity be!
- The sights
- The sounds
- The presence of the Lord
- The ministry of the angels
- The fellowship of the saints
- The worship of the Almighty
These cannot be described and, if
they could, could never be received by the mortal mind.
They belong only to those who
have possessed them.
