Why Reason Among Ourselves?

Matthew 16:7 KJV
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

Jesus had told the disciples to beware of to leaven of the Pharisees and it is in that context they are found "reasoning among themselves." Jesus rebuked them for this action and explained himself further so that they understood He was speaking about the doctrine of the Pharisees.

We might apply this same scenario to any number of human questions. We will always come to error when we “reason among ourselves” without getting consultation from the Lord. The ideas of man will be
·         Temporal
·         Shallow
·         Short sighted and
·         Always confined to our own experiences

With the insight of the Lord we are able to see things that are eternal, deep and beyond our imagination.

Why reason we among yourselves when God is anxious to be a part of our conversations?
