Galatians 5:1 KJV
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
It is apparent that liberty must be defended. A man must win liberty of soul again and again as
- The world
- The flesh and
- The devil
are at constant warfare against it.
The world, though touting itself as pro-liberty, is really pro-rebellion against God
Anything is thought acceptable except a vital walk with The Lord.
The flesh loves religion
A works-based system of earning heaven is the heartbeat of carnality.
The devil longs to have men in his own bondage
Before we are saved he is able to take us captive at his will. He, therefore, walks about as a roaring lion seeking those Christians he may devour into his clutches
Once we are saved we are forever saved. But
- To live at liberty
- To love and
- To serve one another for the sake of God's glory
that is a battle we must stand up to every day.
