Revelation 12:15
And
the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he
might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ
and chapter twelve is a one chapter summation of the whole history of Israel,
including Jesus Christ, describes the earthly life of Jesus in this one verse.
Notice how it describes the crucifixion of Jesus. He was caught up to God and
to His throne.
· There is
nothing of the rejection of Christ.
· There is
nothing of the betrayal of Christ.
· There is
nothing of the judgments against Christ.
· There is
nothing of Peter's denial of Christ.
· There is
nothing of the Cross of Christ.
The Bible tells us He was
delivered and He was caught up.
I suspect once the Christian is
in heaven that is also how he will think of his own earthly experience.
· He came to
be
· He came to
Christ
· He came to
glory
We will have forgotten any
negatives of life. We will have dismissed any suffering. Heaven will be about
the result and not the struggles on the way. We will reflect upon the goodness
of Christ the holiness of God and the joy of eternity. Any thoughts of
retribution will have vanished as the Lord has executed vengeance upon the
unjust. God will have wiped away all tears. Only Christ will remain to fill our
thoughts.
Right now we have some
challenges and we must face them. There is no excuse for pie in the sky living.
Souls need to be reached. Prayer must be made. The trials of earning our bread
are real.
But then, when we are caught up
to God, all of that will be past.
