Our Most Powerful Enemy

Micah 7:19
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

The most powerful enemy of man is not another nation or an opposing worldview such as communism or even a non-Christian religion such as Islam. The most powerful enemy of man is sin. Iniquity so dominates and enslaves that no natural work can ever truly break the chains this enemy has locked us in.

That's why it is compassionate and merciful of God to subdue and defeat this enemy.

It is a battle hard fought. Sin is not quick to give up its domineering position. The enemy is so deceptive it will give up one field of battle, allowing us to believe we have the victory, all the while building up its defenses in another great field.

Only God can subdue this enemy.

Let us then look to His mercy for victory.
