Psalms 37:18 (KJV)
The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
Two things this passage says concerning the relationship between the Lord and the upright:
- The Lord knows their days
- Their inheritance (from the Lord) is forever
God has us covered both here and in heaven.
Life on the earth, though often challenging, is not lived aloneGod has his eyes upon us. Every moment is observed. He never leaves us or forsakes us. He knows to the last moment what our life holds.
When the last day here is lived then forever awaitsLife can feel so temporary. Years pass so quickly and things deteriorate and change all around us. In the midst of such instability it relieves the soul to remember that God’s promises, God’s plan, and life with God is never ending; forever.
