And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions. 

No man was able to answer His question and no one asked Him any more questions after this day. But that does not mean He had convinced them. It only means they had become that much more hardened.

From here on there was no attempt made to turn Christ to their way of thinking. They were no longer looking for ways to explain Christ to the Jewish community. They had one goal remaining; to be forever rid of Christ.

But, though they crucified Him, they never got rid of Him. Jesus is as alive today as He was two thousand years ago.

• He still influences thought
• He still exposes false teachings 
• He still confounds the blind religions

People today often disagree with Christ but they cannot explain away Christ.
