Luke 12:4-5 (KJV)
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
It is a friendly thing to warn others of future judgments.
This passage puts us to the test. Do we believe what Jesus says or not? There are those, of course, who plainly deny Christ. There are many in the United States who would claim to believe in Him but practically, theologically and philosophically reject what He teaches.
It is worthless to claim to be a believer if we will not believe.
Jesus could not have been clearer.
- We have an eternal soul and those outside of true faith will be cast body and soul eternally into hell.
- Life on this earth is petty and secondary to life after death.
- One should fear God if he has not been saved
Take it or leave it but don’t pretend to be on the fence with it. Either Christ is all the Bible says, and hell is a reality for the lost or else Christ is a phony.
- He is not just a good example
- He is not a prophet of Allah
- He is God or He is fake
