Micah 7:19 (KJV)
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

One of the most hopeful things I see in the Bible is that God always “turns again.” As long as we breathe judgment is never eternal. There is always the promise of new mercy.
This chapter is one of judgment but the chapter doesn’t end in judgment. It ends in hope.
- God will turn again
- God will have compassion
- God will subdue our iniquities
Subdue-that’s a good word, isn’t it?
Sometimes we feel like we have been subdued by our sins. They seem to have the better of us. They are in charge and not we ourselves.
Sometimes we feel like we have been subdued by our sins. They seem to have the better of us. They are in charge and not we ourselves.
But when God turns again, when God pours out His compassion, He:
- Subdues
- Conquers
- Dominates
those iniquities.
He gives victory over what is surely our worst enemy, our flesh.

What hope!
