Galatians 3:1-3 (KJV)
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

It is a foolish thought that salvation would be through faith but perfection would come by works.

Christians, who become enamored with Judaism, repeat the foolishness of the Galatians constantly these days. No matter that they call it Messianic, it is still Judaism. It is an attempt to marry the Christian faith with the dead works of Jewish law. It is exactly the thing Acts 15 is meant to extinguish and Galatians was written to teach against.

These anti-Judaism sentiments should not be confused as anti-Semitism. Christians ought to love Jews:

• Because we ought to be a loving people anyway 
• Because our faith springs from the Jews and 
• Because God continues to this day to love Jews

Love isn’t agreement. It doesn’t demand agreement. Love demands support, encouragement and friendship but not agreement; most of all, love demands truthfulness. I love Jews enough to be truthful and tell them to:

• Come to Christ
• Come out of Judaism and
• Come into a local New Testament Baptist Church
