John 9:8-10 (KJV)
The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.Therefore said they unto him, How were thine eyes opened?

My thought today is simply what a big deal was made of what Jesus did.
True enough, He gave sight to one who was born blind. That is a big deal. People didn’t quickly get over it.
- There were questions before the healing as to why he was born blind
- There were questions afterwards whether he had really been born blind
- There were questions about how he who was blind had been healed
- There were questions about the nature of the One who had healed him
- There were questions about the spiritual position of those who accepted this as from God or not.
Nothing much has changed these two thousand years. Some people still find great benefit in Christ. Some find hope in the work of Christ in others. However some are threatened by Christ’s work; some see it as superstition and some believe it to be of the devil.
Those of us who have been helped by faith in Christ simply enjoy what God has accomplished in us.
