2 Corinthians 6:11-13 (KJV) Listen And Learn

2 Corinthians 6:11-13 (KJV)
O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.
The word straightened means to be hemmed in. Paul said that (though we know he had soundly rebuked them in the previous book) he was not upset with them. He was not hindering their spiritual growth. His desire and his ministry among them had been for their benefit and growth.
They had been straightened, hemmed in, hindered by their own selves. It was their bowels, their emotions and their lack of mercy that had closed them in.
Verse 13, the sense is this, if they would embrace Paul’s ministry, his heart and his Words, they could once again be on a path of spiritual growth.
A preacher may seem from time to time, to be harsh and unwilling to allow for new things to bring growth. Truth is, new things do not bring growth. Biblical ministry does that. Listen, learn and don’t resist the old paths of faithful preachers.
